Rehabilitation of Rural Schools and other Social Infrastructures in Fergana Valley of Kyrgyzstan

Activity: The overall objective of the project is to contribute to alleviating poverty in Fergana Valley of Kyrgyzstan through improving the social welfare infrastructure by rehabilitation of Rural Schools, infrastructure development and capacity building for community development. The purpose of this project is to provide necessary technical assistance for the rehabilitation of rural schools, development of related infrastructure (esp. clean water supply infrastructure) and capacity building in the Batken, Osh and Djalalabad regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Shanxi Development Strategy for Technical and Vocational Education and Training

Activity: The impact of the TA is the transformation of the TVET system in Shanxi into a demand and employment-driven and competence-based system in support of Shanxi’s medium- and long-term social and economic development. The outcome of the TA is the consideration by higher authorities of the provincial and central governments of key TA policy recommendations for improving the TVET system in Shanxi.

Provision of expertise to support ETF initiatives for human resources development

Activity: This framework contract is intended to cover contracting of specific expertise services to support ETF initiatives in the partner countries covered by its work programme, in different fields relating to human resource development. Inputs from experts may be required, for example, in one or more of the following areas:

  • Programming and project design (including feasibility studies), monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment, dissemination of project results and good practice;
  • Policy analysis and targeted policy advice;
  • Data collection and analysis, report writing, desk research, editing of specialised reports;
  • Design and delivery of capacity building activities such as study visits, training and event facilitation;
  • Translation and interpretation requiring knowledge of specialised terminology, etc.

Planning, Delivery and Follow-up of vocational trainings for Economic and Social Relaunch of Northwest Provinces in Cambodia (ECOSORN) – Lot 1, 2, 3

Activity: The overall objective of the ECOSORN project is to contribute to poverty reduction through increased household income, mainly through increased agricultural production. Smallholder farmers and their family members living in the project area are the primary beneficiaries of the project.

Social Partnership in Education and Training, Phase 2

Labour market oriented Vocational Education and Training

Activity: The program is intended to strengthen the capability of the project partners to gear vocational education and training towards the needs of economy and youth, in accordance with the drafts for the European Qualification Framework (EQF). The project provides methodical, technical and financial support to the improvement of the general framework of reform processes, the establishment and promotion of selected regional excellence schools, the institutional and staff development of participating social partners as well as the introduction of target group oriented and gender specific pre-vocational and vocational guidance to support integration of VET graduates into the labour market.

Support to the Development and Monitoring of a Quality Assurance System for Higher Education in Kazakhstan

Activity: The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of the higher education system in Kazakhstan. The specific objective of this contract is to develop a sound and effective system of quality assurance within Kazakhstan’s higher education system, consistent with international standards and able to meet the rapidly changing needs of a market economy. The project involves reviewing the current quality assurance system used in Higher Education Institutions in Kazakhstan, evaluating quality assurance systems used in EU and other transition countries, developing and piloting a new quality assurance system for Kazakhstan Higher Education Institutions and the programmes running in these institutions.
