Located in hearth of Tuscany, in the north-centre of Italy, CSCS is accredited by Regional Government as a Vocational Training and Research Centre, and is officially appointed by the European Commission as a Lead Intermediary Organisation of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs network, the latest new cross-border business exchange European programme.
CSCS operates under a Quality Assurance System ISO Vision 9001 for: “design and supply of vocational training courses: compulsory education, further education, higher and continuous training, apprenticeship. Design and supply of mobility educational programmes (study visits and work placements) (EA37)”. CSCS Quality Management Assurance System is certified by TUV.
CSCS is the Italian National Representative and Member of Executive Team of EFVET, the European Forum for Vocational Education and Training, based in Brussels with over 1500 members of all over the world.
CSCS is the promoter of and responsible for Europemobility Network, funded by the European Commission, a international network of educational providers with over 180 members in 24 countries, with 240.000 learners in Higher Educational, Vocational Education and Training and Non formal Education.
Research & Development
Since 1994 CSCS has dedicated his efforts in establishing bridges across Europe with an international outlook in the field of local development and capacity building in education with a special focus on research on and implementation of vocational education and training.
CSCS has successfully implemented over 60 transnational consultancy and research projects, being strongly committed to promote transnational cooperation as a mean for improving local vocational education and training schemes.
Research projects promoted by CSCS aim at ensuring a great impact on local training systems in terms of innovation, quality, methodologies, educational materials and integration of new technologies into teaching practices.
CSCS is currently engaged in capacity building, research on training needs, feasibility studies.
Vocational Education and Training
CSCS is accredited training centre by the Regional Government of Tuscany and provides initial vocational training, continuous training for businesses, vocational guidance and orientation and apprenticeship courses.
To date, over 10.000 individuals have been trained by CSCS staff members.
CSCS main offices are in Pistoia and training programmes are provided all over Tuscany and Italy with more than 20 subsidiary locations.
CSCS delivers training programmes to individuals, workers, entrepreneurs, trainees as well as trainers, promoting the integration of innovative methodologies into teaching practices.
CSCS is one of the main players in the provision of apprenticeship courses, with solid experience in supporting companies in undertaking educational programmes for their staff.
More than 1000 companies have trained their employees and young apprentices with CSCS.
E-Learning and Publishing
CSCS has developed since 1997 e-learning solutions for Italian and European customers, promoting a blended learning approach which combines and integrate face to face educational sessions with distance learning, managed online via Internet based applications.
CSCS develops custom solutions using world leading open source Learning Management Systems (LMS). CSCS staff customizes typical LMS features such as assignment submission, discussion forum, files download, grading, instant messages, online calendars, news and announcement, quiz, questions and wikis.
E-learning solutions are made available to mobile devices with dedicated mobile apps.
As a publishing company CSCS is actively involved in developing publications with educational purposes, focusing on research on labour market needs and on didactic tools to supplement and integrate vocational training.
CSCS has developed a number of both online, multimedia and printed publications.
Transnational learning mobility

In learning mobility, CSCS is one of the lead organization across Europe, active in the provision of internships, language and cultural activities, study visits and also with the implementation of research projects financed by the European Commission.
CSCS receives in Tuscany around 300 students from all over Europe per year accomplishing work placements and other numerous groups of stakeholders for study visits.
CSCS is responsible for a network of 54 vocational training providers from 14 European member states who implement annually 2500 transnational exchanges.
